2D1N Wildlife Watching Safari

Gomantong Cave & Kinabatangan River Cruise

A limestone outcrop, Gomantang cave is situated in the district of Kinabatangan, within Gomantong Forest Reserve Class IV (3,297 hectares). It is the largest cave and main producer of edible birds’ nest in Sabah. Gomantong Cave devided into two sections, which is known as Simud Hitam Cave (Black Cave) and Simud Putih Cave (While Cave). There is a well-maintained boardwalk inside the Black Cave where visitors can walk along and do some exploring on this amazing cave.

The swiftlets share the caves with bats which live on the ceiling and the thousands of insects (especially cockroaches) which thrive on the rich bat guano on the floor. In this enormous cave you will find million of bats during the day and countless swiftlets return to the caves before the sundown. The surroundings of Gomantong Caves are home to a wide variety of birds and monkeys. It is also possible to spot wild orang utans and beautiful borneo butterflies.

Sepilok Orang Utan & Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary

The Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre was set up in year 1964. Sprawls over 4,294 hectare of virgin jungle reserves rich in tropical rainforest and mangrove swamp, this sanctuary serves to rehabilitate orang utans that have been abandoned by their mothers, or were formerly in captivity. These orphaned orang utans, found from logging sites, plantations and illegal hunting, were rehabilitated until fit enough to be returned to the wild. Sepilok Orang Utan Rehab Centre gives you an opportunity to watch the orang utan - "Man of The Forest", up close in their natural habitat. Besides, you can witness the feeding process of the orang utan by the rangers at feeding platform! 

Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary located at the centre of the mangrove forest along the coastal land near Samawang Village, Sandakan. This privately-owned sanctuary within an oil palm estate offers a perfect observation platform for you to have a closer look at Borneo's indigenous proboscis monkeys.

Proboscis monkey gets its name from its large, fleshy nose and only found in Borneo Island. They have reddish-brown fur on their back and shoulders, which ends at midsection. Besides, they are excellent swimmers! But swim only when necessary and for pleasure. If you're lucky, you might able to spot Silverleaf Monkeys and hornbills at the viewing platform. A trip to Labuk Bay will definitely leave you the most exhilarating and unforgettable experience.

3D2N Tabin Wildlife Safari

Largely surrounded by oil plam plantation, and just over an hour's drive from Lahad Datu, Tabin Wildlife Reserve has a comfortable wildlife resort in a small river valley. The presence of several mud volcanoes, which gives rich mineral salts for birds and mammals, probably contributes to the concentration of wildlife in Tabin. 

Tabin Wildlife Reserve is vitally important to the conservation of some Borneo's most endangered mammals including the Bornean Pygmy Elephant. Of bird species, 42 families representing 220 species have been recorded. Large numbers of hornbills and eagles as well as vividly coloured birds can be seen here. The Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC) is the home of the world's smallest bear. BSBCC play an important role in rescue sun bears and promote their conservation to return them to the forest. At here, the rescued sun bears are able to express their natural behaviors in the forest enclosure. The Rainforest Discovery Centre is an environmental education facilities run by Sabah Forestry Department, primarily to create public awareness and appreciation of the importance of conserving forests, as well as the sustainable use of forest resources.
