The Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre was set up in year 1964. Sprawls over 4,294 hectare of virgin jungle reserves rich in tropical rainforest and mangrove swamp, this sanctuary serves to rehabilitate orang utans that have been abandoned by their mothers, or were formerly in captivity. These orphaned orang utans, found from logging sites, plantations and illegal hunting, were rehabilitated until fit enough to be returned to the wild. Sepilok Orang Utan Rehab Centre gives you an opportunity to watch the orang utan - "Man of The Forest", up close in their natural habitat. Besides, you can witness the feeding process of the orang utan by the rangers at feeding platform!
Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary located at the centre of the mangrove forest along the coastal land near Samawang Village, Sandakan. This privately-owned sanctuary within an oil palm estate offers a perfect observation platform for you to have a closer look at Borneo's indigenous proboscis monkeys.
Proboscis monkey gets its name from its large, fleshy nose and only found in Borneo Island. They have reddish-brown fur on their back and shoulders, which ends at midsection. Besides, they are excellent swimmers! But swim only when necessary and for pleasure. If you're lucky, you might able to spot Silverleaf Monkeys and hornbills at the viewing platform. A trip to Labuk Bay will definitely leave you the most exhilarating and unforgettable experience.

Take about two and a half an hour drive to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, which situated in the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve. Upon arrival, proceed to the Nature Education Centre for a short video screening. Onwards, make your way through the forest to the viewing platform. Witness the feeding session and observe the habitat of "wild man of the forest" in a close distance.

Upon arrival, take about 10-15 minutes wooden prank walk through the forest to viewing platform.
